"Islamic" Sects

(Quran 6:159) As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with God. God will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.

The Sunni-Shi’i division hadn’t split the Islamic world until after the death of Muhammad (P)–over the caliphate, over old disputes between the tribes of Mecca and Medina in addition to material diversities between north and south Arabia as well as others who had settled in Syria and Iraq, and over divisions of wealth between tribal groups. Absolutely disgusting. We’ve let these things change over time and become so entangled with ourselves that we believe it to be true.
And now they cause catastrophes. Death, discrimination, and destruction.
There is no merit in sects. We were all meant to be united under one faith.

  3. Are you Sunni or Shia? If I had a penny for everytime I have been asked this question. No one has ever liked my answer.
