6 thoughts on “Why is Hamas considered a terrorist organization?

  1. The *obvious* and simple answer is, of course: because Israel says so, and Israel is the boss. It is terrorist because of its terrorist attacks — on Israel. Anything that harms and threatens Israel is terrorist in nature and must be declared so by any “civilized” nation, as goes the wisdom of Pam Geller. But God forbid Israel ever be considered terrorist, too, despite all its crimes against Palestine. It doesn’t matter why Hamas exists or what led to its emergence, but so long as it exists, Israel (and its allies) will continue claiming that they are merely reacting to Hamas – which furthers their control over Palestinian civilians and over Palestine – and they’ll also maintain, “But we’re defending ourselves against Hamas!” when Hamas claims self-defense, too.

The question of who can be considered a legitimate resistant power, who has the right and authority and legitimacy to partake in “terrorist” activities, who has the right to exist, who has the right to defend themselves is one that only the U.S. believes it has the authority to answer, and that depends on the U.S.’s relationship with that power in question. If the U.S. were to support Palestine, Israel would be considered a terrorist state *even if* Israel weren’t doing anything wrong or had legitimate reasons for committing violence against others in an attempt to protect itself.

But ya, to answer your question: “cuz Israel <3"

Hamas is a revolutionary organization like Nelson Mandela’s liberation organization called “ Umkhonto we Sizwe (“Spear of the Nation”) formed in the year of 1961..Which was branded as a violent / terrorist organization by white apartheid regime of South Africa.

    (Read more –click : http://www.history.com/topics/nelson-mandela )..

Nelson Mandela, one time a terrorist in South Africa has honored with Nobel peace prize along with another so called terrorist called Yaser Arafat who formed “ Fatah liberation army” which fought violently when U S A has blocked by its veto power , over 30 UNO resolutions which asked Israel to end its illegal occupation , expansion and settlements….Fatah and Hamas have adopted same armed fight against Israel, a illegally occupied force of 21st century.

  4. Because Israel says so, because they caused Israel to attack UN schools and children and because Israel simply had no other choice than to kill 3 children playing at a beach, because Hamas. Don’t you know that everyone is against Israel already? Even actual family of Holocaust victims are now saying that Israel is abusing their history for selfish gain, because Hamas. Simple as that. Criticism on Israel = terrorism
