This is a Wisteria tree.
It is my favorite. Not necessarily its kind (I dearly love the Weeping Willow) but this tree in particular. I don’t know the name of the photographer, but I only wish I had met this tree in my childhood. How I would have loved to lie on its winding branches or hug the sturdy trunk!
And how wonderful the branches look to climb. Everything about it is so gorgeous and graceful and elegant–and wise. The tree is a woman. A nymph.
Beautiful.

That has got to me one of the most beautiful trees I’ve ever seen!
And you’re right, it does look like a woman. It looks like an old woman to me, like a wise and loving grandmother.
